An equipment purchase enters the supplier and buyer accounts in different places. Equipment purchases can become supplier revenue under the applicable rules; buyers usually record capital investment, with depreciation and operating expenses affecting profit later. An optical supplier is closer to construction, while a platform also needs existing cash flows and new-service monetisation to recover its spending. This offers a mechanism for dispersion, without establishing the cause of the day’s returns.
